That last one is the number we care about most. It is what happens when support actually picks up the phone.

Somebody has to make sure the payment goes through.

Easy Pay Direct is a merchant services company. In plain terms, when a business sells something, we are the reason the money arrives. We place merchant accounts with the right banks, underwrite businesses other processors won't touch, and keep accounts stable when volume spikes overnight or the business model shifts.

It sounds unglamorous until you talk to a business owner whose processor froze their funds two weeks before payroll. Then it is the most important thing in their world. That is the job.

We work with ecommerce brands, contractors, restaurants, agencies, SaaS companies, and dozens of verticals that most processors quietly decline. Some of our merchants run a single storefront. Some run nine figures a year across multiple entities. Same standard of care either way.

And we are building the next thing. EPD Commerce is our platform for agentic commerce, built to sit between a merchant's existing stack and an internet where AI agents do the buying. Create, analyze, react, transact. If you want to work on payments infrastructure at the exact moment it is being rewritten, the timing is good.

What we run on

Five values. We actually use them.

Most companies put values on a wall and never mention them again. Ours come up in performance reviews, in hiring debriefs, and in the middle of arguments. Here they are, with what they mean when nobody is watching.

01

Make things easier.

Our whole company exists because payments are harder than they should be. That applies internally too. Simplify the work for others. Be thorough. Work as a team. If you find a process that wastes ten minutes a day, you are expected to fix it, not file a ticket about it.

02

Open, effective communication.

Be honest. Have patience. Actually listen. We would rather hear a hard truth early than a polished update late. Nobody here gets punished for surfacing a problem.

03

Do the right thing.

Look out for our merchants, our partners, our teammates, and the company. In that order more often than you'd expect. We have walked away from revenue that wasn't right. We will do it again.

04

Persistence.

Get it done. Dig in until you find the solution. Go the extra mile. Payments problems are rarely solved on the first call. The people who thrive here are the ones who keep going after the obvious answer runs out.

05

Growth.

Evaluate progress. Be better than the day before. We are not asking for a five-year plan. We are asking whether you got sharper this quarter.

The culture, specifically

Professionally relaxed.

That phrase is in our brand book, and it is the most honest description of this place we have got. High standards, low ego. Here is what it looks like day to day.

  • We are friendly, enjoyable, and helpful in all moments. Including the moments where something is on fire.

  • We are experts in our field. Thirteen years of underwriting knowledge that does not exist in a manual anywhere.

  • We always go the extra mile. Not as a slogan. As the actual baseline expectation.

  • We are true to our word. If we tell a merchant we will handle it, it gets handled.

  • We are professionally relaxed. Do great work. Do not perform seriousness.

  • We are here to make things easier. For merchants, for partners, for each other.

  • We strive to be the positive experience. In an industry where the default experience is a hold-music nightmare.

One office. On purpose.

We are in-person in Austin, and that is a deliberate choice, not a leftover policy. Payments is a business built on tribal knowledge. The fastest way to learn why a bank declined an account, or how to structure a merchant's entity, is to hear the person next to you work through it out loud. So we are here together. Whiteboards get used. Lunch gets long sometimes. The founders dog is probably in the office. Problems get solved in fifteen minutes in the hallway instead of three days in a thread.

This is where most of the hard problems get solved.

The people

The names behind the accounts.

Merchants stay with us for years, and it is usually because of a specific person here who took care of them. Here are some of those people.
